Billing & Insurance Information for Outpatient Telepsychiatry Care in Washington State
1. How to Pay Your Bill
We use a secure automatic payment system through Simple Practice to ensure your medical and financial records remain HIPAA-compliant and secure.
If you need to update your credit card information, please contact our office. We will send you instructions for securely updating your payment method through the secure patient portal. All payments for psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy are processed electronically for your convenience. You do not need to mail a check.
2. Monthly Billing Statements
Statements are emailed by mid-month only if you have an outstanding balance or if your health insurance company has not fully processed or covered a previous psychiatry visit.
Statements are sent for informational purposes and to keep you informed of any patientfinancial responsibility. If you need an additional copy of your statement, please contact our office and we will connect you with our medical billing service.
Please note: Billing statements are not available within the Simple Practice patient portal.
3. Hassle-Free Automatic Payments
Statements are generally provided for informational purposes only. No action is required if you have an active credit card on file in Simple Practice.
Charges are processed automatically according to your financial agreement.
Important: Please do not send a check after an automatic payment has been processed, as this may result in a duplicate payment.
4. Health Insurance and Patient Responsibility
Your health insurance company determines your coverage and financial responsibility for specialist psychiatric care. Depending on your specific plan, you may be responsible for:
Copayments: Fixed fees due at the time of your telehealth visit
Coinsurance: Your percentage of the cost of services
Deductibles: The amount you pay out-of-pocket before insurance kicks in
Non-covered services
Please review your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) provided by your insurance provider for exact details regarding your financial responsibility.
5. Billing Questions & Support
If you have questions regarding a psychiatric bill, please follow these steps:
Review your most recent billing statement.
Review the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance company, which details your exact patient responsibility.
Contact your insurance company regarding questions about mental health coverage, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, or medical claim processing.
Contact our dedicated billing service using the phone number listed on your billing statement.
If questions remain after completing the above steps, Dr. Sid can review them together with you during your next appointment.
We are committed to making the mental health billing process as transparent, straightforward, and stress-free as possible.
