Evidence-based & Holistic Approach

Holistic psychiatry is a specialized branch of psychiatry based upon the principle that you are an integrated whole, that your body, mind and emotions are interconnected. Therefore, in treating mental illness, a holistic psychiatrist looks at the total picture instead of just the psychiatric symptoms. Your diet, lifestyle, physical condition, mental health and emotional state are all examined before a treatment plan is enacted.

The object of holistic psychiatry is to support the body’s inherent ability to heal itself by removing the barriers that prevent healing. I will bring my extensive expertise in conventional psychiatry and psychotherapeutic approaches, as well as evidence-based conventional approaches to your situation. The treatment plan I design with you, for example, may include medications, mindfulness, meditation, diet and lifestyle adaptations, and psychotherapy, for a comprehensive program that supports healthfulness in all these aspects of your life.

Hi, I am Dr. Sid.  I am privileged to work with you as the co-traveler in your journey of recovery.

I work with my patients to find a well-rounded approach to emotional wellness that includes group/individual therapy, medication management, and strategies for engaging in balanced exercise, nutrition, and relationships. My patients are often able to minimize the use of medications by incorporating a healthier lifestyle.
